Installing the OpFocus Task Matrix

You can install the OpFocus Task Matrix into any existing Salesforce org in which you are a System Administrator.

To view the OpFocus Task Matrix listing on the AppExchange, click here

To begin installing the Task Matrix, click the Get It Now button. Answer the series of questions:

  • Do you have a Salesforce account? (Yes)
  • Are you a Salesforce system administrator? (Yes)
  • Where would you like to try this app? (Either sandbox or production)

When prompted, log into your Salesforce org.

Review the Installation Instructions that Salesforce displays for you. These instructions should confirm that you are installing the OpFocus Task Matrix into your Salesforce org. Click the checkbox to indicate that you agree to the terms and conditions, then click the Install button.

On the Package Installation Details page, click Continue.

On the Step 1. Approve Package API Access page, click Next.

On the Step 2. Choose security level page, if you want to grant access to all Users in your org, select Grant access to all users. Otherwise, select Select security settings and grant Full Access to the Profiles that you want to allow to use the Task Matrix. Click Next.

On the Step 3. Install Package page, check the Ignore Apex test failures that may cause the installed application not to function properly checkbox. Click Install. It may take a few minutes for the installation to complete: please be patient.

When the installation is complete, you’ll see this message:

There is only one more step you must perform in order to configure the application: add the Urgent and Important picklists to the Task page layout(s). To begin, click Your Name | Setup | Customize | Activities | Task Page Layout. Repeat the following steps for each of your Task Page Layouts:

  • Click the Edit link.
  • In the page layout editor, drag the Urgency and Importance fields into the Task Information section of the page layout.
  • Click Save.

Congratulations! The OpFocus Task Matrix is configured and ready to be used!
