David Carnes, OpFocus Founder and PresidentDavid Carnes, Founder and President

David Carnes founded OpFocus, Inc. in 2006 with the goal of helping companies run their businesses better through improved systems, processes and reporting.  Prior to OpFocus, David was Practice Manager at Theikos, Inc., a leading Salesforce.com consulting partner that was later acquired by Astadia, Inc. Before Theikos, David was Corporate Applications Manager at MarketSoft Corporation where he managed systems by day and immersed himself in sales and marketing operations by night.

David’s affinity for business automation and technology developed while serving as CRM Project Manager at Lucent Technologies global software division (formerly Kenan Systems) and while working in Channels Marketing roles at Sybase in the mid 1990s.

David started his career with a two year teaching stint on the JET Program in Himeji, Japan. He holds a master’s degree in software engineering from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in International Business and Japanese from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  He has served as an Area Governor for Toastmasters International, President of the Lexington Toastmasters Club, and board member of NETSEA- the New England Technical Sales Execs Association.

David holds Salesforce.com Certified Consultant and Salesforce.com Certified Advanced System Administrator designations, and is an Authorized Salesforce.com Trainer, training corporate groups and system administrators across the country.

MJ Kahn OpFocusMJ Kahn, Vice President of Development and Product Strategy

As Vice President of Development and Product Strategy, MJ is responsible for OpFocus’s software development efforts on behalf of our clients, ensuring that technologies like Apex and Visualforce are applied correctly to meet our clients’ business needs. MJ also leads OpFocus’s own product development team.

MJ has an extensive background in technology, having held a variety of development, consulting, and management positions at Sybase, Vignette, and Honeywell, as well as a number of smaller companies like Sybernet, Oberon Software, and Infomedics. In all of these positions, MJ’s focus and passion have been on helping companies use technology effectively and intellligently to develop software products and solve business problems. An Apex and Visualforce consultant since mid 2008, MJ has worked with dozens of companies to help them understand and use the Force.com platform to solve their business problems and, in some cases, to help them develop their own App Exchange product offerings.

An active club member and leader in Toastmasters, MJ has also delivered training classes on a variety of technical subjects, including HTML, JavaScript, Visual Basic, as well as the Salesforce.com Web Services API.

MJ earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Smith College and a Masters of Applied Science in Computer Science from the Boston University Metropolitan College. She has earned a Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Developer designation.

Astrid Domenico OpFocus Astrid Domenico, Director of Sales

With both B2B and B2C experience in sales and delivery, Astrid brings an invaluable perspective to clients: listening carefully, thinking creatively and applying product expertise to business needs.  Astrid is responsible for OpFocus’s sales strategy and ensuring that our consulting services, uniquely customized for each client, are designed specifically towards business process optimization and efficiency. As with the rest of the team, Astrid engages new and existing clients with our trademark Win-Win approach and Rockstar service.

Prior to her role in sales, Astrid worked as an Implementation Manager at OpFocus for over two years. In this role, Astrid was responsible for over 50 deployments of the Salesforce.com platform, which provided rich experience in system design, project methodology and successful rollouts. Before joining the OpFocus team, Astrid worked in small business consulting, the mortgage industry and as director for various non-profit programs for children and young adults.

Astrid holds certification as a Salesforce.com Consultant, Salesforce.com Administrator and Salesforce.com Advanced Administrator as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Smith College.

Jerry DeWaltJerry DeWalt, Director of Service Delivery

Jerry oversees OpFocus’ delivery team and leads our largest projects. Prior to joining OpFocus he was an IT Project Manager for CSG Systems for just under 10 years, running numerous systems.

Jerry is a Salesforce.com Certified Consultant and Administrator, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management degree from University of Alaska Fairbanks.
